GINGER Drug Study

What is this study about?

We are looking for healthy adults to study the safety and dosage range of a ginger tincture extract. The purpose of the study is the future development of a new anti-inflammatory in the form of a botanical prescription drug.


Who can take part? 

To be eligible for this study, volunteers will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Healthy Adults (18-55 years)

  • Non-Smoker

  • No dietary restrictions


What is the duration of the study?

The study will last approximately 2 months and involves 4-7 in-person visits and 2-3 phone calls (depending on size of cohort).


What does it involve?

  • Collection of demographics, Medical History, and Medications

  • Measurement of vital signs

  • Blood and urine tests/ECG recording

  • Use of a diary for 7 days (depending on cohort)

  • Daily administration of ginger tincture extract (depending on cohort)

  • Restricted diet

You do not have to pay anything to take part in this study. Volunteers will be reimbursed for their time, travel expenses, and any lifestyle restrictions.
